The Hysham Echo Newspaper has been published since Nov. 28, 1911 for Treasure County, Montana.

The Echo has undergone many changes over the years and I was honored to be the editor at the time it turned 100.

Each week I will publish the recipes and Page from the Past and the obits as soon as I receive them.

Sandra Kay Buckalew



March 31, 1954 - May 13, 2014
Sandra (Sandy) Kay Buckalew born March 31, 1954 to Marie Lecoe Buckalew and Austin Buckalew, died May 13, 2014 at the age of 60 due to quick acting cancer. She had a lifetime career in nursing. She helped everyone and was loved by all. Always had an uplifting spirit.

She is survived by brother Fred (Duke) Buckalew of Brookings, Oregon and sisters Elverna Kleinknect of Spokane, Wash., and Jane Macomber of Billings, Mont. She is preceded in death by her mother and father and sister June Clifton. A memorial service will be held at Wicks Lane Baptist Church, 1605 Bench Blvd in Billings, Mont. on June 7 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Sandy will be buried in Forsyth, Mont. with her mother and father. Print this post
