Ollie Lena (Seader) Morton joined her Lord and Savior on December 12, 2012, at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Montana. She was born to Adam W. and Amelia (Greenwald) Seader at Melbeta, Nebraska on February 17, 1925. The family moved to Fairview, Montana and later settled in the Forsyth area. While young she learned to work alongside her mother, cooking for their large family of 16 children and cousins that lived in the family home.
Ollie and Miles Morton were married February 16,1946. Their only son Gary was born October 20, 1956. He died at the age 18. They lived and farmed out of Rosebud, later moving to Forsyth while he worked for Peabody Coal at Colstrip. They retired to Billings and Miles died in 2000. Ollie then greatly enjoyed volunteering at Billings Clinic for several years. The last year of her life she lived at Bonaventure Assisted Living in Billings.
Miles and Ollie were very active in their church and community and loved to dance, especially with their square dance club. Adding to enjoyment of gardening, crocheting, and cooking, was her great love of making, teaching and gifting ceramics to those she loved, and won awards for her pieces.
Ollie is survived by one brother, John Seader (Patricia) of Billings; and two sisters, Norma Steinback of Billings and Sharon Williams of Hysham.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Miles; their son Gary; brothers Conrad, Dave, William, Fred, Roy, and Robert; and sisters Mollie Hein, Mable Bastrom, Freida Schell, Eleanor Benner, Evelyn Bendewald and Shirley Fischer.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 17, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, in Billings Heights, followed by a luncheon. Burial will take place at the Forsyth Cemetery in Forsyth, Mont. at approximately 2:30 p.m. The casket will be open for visitation on Sunday, from Noon until 4 p.m. The casket will be closed at the church.
